Maryline Bonnet is a medical doctor, trained in pulmonary and epidemiology with an long experience of operational research and clinical research on tuberculosis in high burden and resource limited countries, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. She is research director in the TRANSVIH MI research unit at the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement since 2014 based in Montpellier, France since 2019 after five years in Uganda. She conducts most of her research in Uganda in collaboration with the Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Epicentre, and in Cameroon at the Cameroon ANRS site. She is involved in teaching Master students at the MUST in Uganda and she supervises PHD students at the University of Montpellier.
