It is with great pleasure to announce that all of the four trial sites in Africa have started to enroll patients in the DATURA program. The trial sites are located in Guinea, Cameroon, Zambia and Uganda. The latter received its first patient on August 19.
We look forward to seeing the results of the trials.
Above we see pictures from Yaoundé, Cameroon when the first DATURA participant was enrolled in the Jamot Hospital on August 09 2022. The patient is a 41-years old HIV-1 positive man with CD4 count of 08 cells/µL. He was newly diagnosed for TB on the basis of a positive sputum Xpert MTB/RIF test, a positive urine LAM test and together with an abnormal chest x-ray.
